Founded in 1974 by Virginia G. Mazza and Virginia H. Martin, the center is devoted to individuals with disabilities residing in the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas in northern New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Connecticut. Winslow offers therapeutic riding lessons and an adult day program that are dedicated to participants who face many different challenges. Located on 100 acres of scenic land, Winslow's facility is a haven for animals and humans alike, featuring a herd of horses, various farm animals, and a vegetable greenhouse, Monarch butterfly garden, and official WayStation. The center's well-trained and caring staff and volunteers have made it possible for them to offer a unique and life-changing experience to children and adults in their community since 1974. Winslow's programs are designed to meet the needs of those who wish to learn about equine-assisted activities and therapies in a safe environment.
