Western Carolina University’s University Participant (UP) Program offers an inclusive, two-year, on-campus living and learning experience for college-aged persons with intellectual disability. Our goal is to help UP students transition from secondary school to adult life through educational and employment opportunities and independent living. We strive to provide an environment of acceptance and support for our UP participants, and to open doors to a brighter future. Our program is designed to help UP students reach their fullest potential and create meaningful lives. We are committed to creating an environment of inclusion, opportunity, and success.
