Washington Autism Alliance and Advocacy

Washington Autism Alliance (WAA) is dedicated to providing access to healthcare, education, and services for people with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) and related intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Washington State. Our mission is to ensure that all families in Washington have the resources needed to support their loved ones with autism and other IDDs. Our values are based on calm, confident competence, creative and cutting-edge advocacy, and being nimble, flexible, and responsive in service. We are the nation’s only legal advocate for people with autism and other IDDs, and provide individual/family navigation and legal services regardless of ability to pay. We have a successful track record of legislative advocacy, and have opened access to service for almost 10,000 clients directly and rights to coverage for over 68,000. Our staff has specialized training and personal experience with autism and development disabilities, giving us practical and empathetic expertise.
