Virginia Spencer is a parent of adult children with disabilities who has dedicated her time to advocating for her children’s educational needs. Moving from state to state, her focus was always on closing the skills gap and remediating deficit skills. While living in Illinois, she became a gifted education advocate, was trained to accompany parents in IEP meetings, and differentiated instruction for exceptional students. Upon moving to Texas, Virginia experienced all dispute options available to parents of children with disabilities, such as Texas Education Agency and Office for Civil Rights complaints, 504 administrative hearings, mediations, and due process filings. Virginia Spencer is committed to helping parents navigate the educational system and ensure their children receive the best educational opportunities.
