The Zone

They offer therapeutic services for managing stress and maintaining emotional stability for individuals, couples, children, or the entire family. The Zone provides specialized play therapy throughout the Grand Forks region to help children address and overcome stress and/or trauma. Their therapy techniques help children manage behavioral and emotional difficulties, such as anger, anxiety, attachment and other relationship hardships, ADHD, depression, and unsatisfactory social skills. The Zone provides a child-centered environment to help them face and overcome these emotional difficulties. Their approach includes a 3-prong approach: Reach Understanding, Team Work, and Provide Closure. They take the time to fully understand the child and family's history, strengths, and challenges to best inform the plan of treatment. They work with parents/guardians to develop a plan of treatment that fully addresses the child's behavioral and emotional needs and their family system. They facilitate closure to the therapeutic relationship to maximize carryover of positive changes to the child's life outside of therapy as well as their ongoing development.
