The Whole Self Center

The Whole Self Center supports children and adolescents with autism and their families to explore the innate well-being and creativity of their whole self – the whole and capable person they truly are. The practice serves Children and Adolescents enrolled in the Maryland Medical Assistance Autism Waiver Program, focusing on developing a strong connection with people on the spectrum for them to gain interest and confidence in learning. Their team consists of experienced professionals, including the Founder/Director, Stephen C. Hartman, LCSW-C, and Clinical Director, Aileen D. Helm, MS, RN, BCBA. The Whole Self Center offers various services, including Intensive Individual Support Services, Respite, Therapeutic Integration, Family Consultation, and Adult Life Planning, with a unique approach that emphasizes the importance of developing a deep connection with people on the spectrum. They believe that people on the autism spectrum can learn and grow, and their goal is to help individuals reach their full potential.
