About
The Saddle Light Center is a non-profit organization that offers professional equine therapy to the disabled population of a wide range of ages in the San Antonio area to improve both their self-esteem and quality of life. They provide two types of therapy: Therapeutic Riding and Hippotherapy. Therapeutic Riding is an adaptive/recreational sport/activity that focuses on proper riding position and reining skills, while Hippotherapy is a physical, occupational or speech therapy that uses the movement of the horse as a treatment tool to decrease spasticity, increase range of motion, strength and endurance, and improve balance, mobility, head and trunk control. The Saddle Light Center is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals with disabilities to achieve their therapeutic goals.
