Bertram A. Ruttenberg, and is the oldest autism treatment center in the country. They also offer resources and information that may be helpful to families. The Center's mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and their families. They strive to be the premier resource for specialized autism services in Philadelphia and its surrounding counties by providing programs that meet the specific needs of each individual affected by autism. The Center has a long history of providing innovative and effective services, including the development of the Behavior Rating Instrument for Autistic and Atypical Children (BRIAAC) and the Social Competency Program. They have also been recognized nationally for their significant achievement in developing a comprehensive program for treating profoundly autistic children.
