The Arc of South Florida

Founded in 1953 by a group of concerned parents, the organization has grown into a major community agency, serving over 1,000 Miami-Dade County citizens. The Arc of South Florida offers a variety of programs and services, including Children & Youth Programs, ACE ACADEMY, Adult Services, Arc Guardianship & Case Management Services, Arc South Florida Trust Services, and Transportation Services. Their mission is to ensure the rights of all persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities through effective advocacy and provide specialized programs and services to help clients lead meaningful and fulfilling lives. With a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, The Arc of South Florida values and insists upon diversity in its leadership and membership, actively pursuing and welcoming diverse groups. The organization believes in self-determination, empowering people with the supports needed to make informed decisions and choices. Located in Homestead, FL, The Arc of South Florida continues to act as the voice for all persons in South Florida with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
