The Arc of Salem County also offers Community Inclusion Services, Individual and Community Based Supports, and Ancillary Services such as transportation and information/referral. Their services are designed to support individuals with disabilities in achieving their highest social and vocational potential, and are free of charge with the exception of transportation for extended employment and admission to some recreational activities. Services & specialties
Community Rehabilitation Program
Provides formal evaluation of vocational interests and abilities, vocational training, extended employment, job placement, and follow-up services for individuals aged 18 and over with a physical or mental disability.
Mobile Crew Training Program
Provides training and paid work experience in janitorial and landscaping services for individuals enrolled in the Salem County Rehabilitation Center.
Supported Employment Program
Provides pre-placement training, counseling, employment search and development, job placement, and follow-up services for individuals aged 19 and over with motivation for employment and certification by NJ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services.
Long-Term Follow-Along Program
Provides assistance in selecting and obtaining competitive employment, on-the-job support, and follow-up services for individuals with disabilities who are ready for work in the community.
Thrift Shop
Provides training and employment opportunities to people with physical and/or mental disabilities, selling new and gently used clothing, household articles, small appliances, furniture, books, and other items.
Self Advocacy
An individual organized and operated support group with staff liaison, providing activities such as community volunteerism, voter registration, social functions, and issue-oriented conferences for individuals with disabilities.
