About The Arc of Gaston County

The Arc of Gaston County is a local non-profit organization that has been serving children and adults with Developmental Disabilities since 1961. Our mission is to provide resources and support to families, educators, and support personnel in our community by advocating for those with Developmental Disabilities. Established by parents, community members, and medical professionals, The Arc of Gaston County is an affiliate chapter of The Arc of the United States and The Arc of North Carolina. Our programs are available free of charge or for a minimal cost, and we serve over 6,000 individuals with Developmental Disabilities in Gaston County. We are dedicated to providing the best possible service to those in need of assistance and support.
