About
The Arc of Indiana County Pennsylvania is a non-profit organization that empowers individuals with intellectual disabilities and developmental delays to champion a life of inclusion, ability, opportunity, and equality. They provide information, education, and support for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities and for their families. The Arc of Indiana County believes that the earlier a child receives the appropriate programs and services, within the community, the greater the opportunity for the child to grow up happy and successful. They offer valuable information and guidance on supports, transition planning, employment, and available services—empowering individuals to make informed decisions and live their best lives. The Arc works at the national, state, and local levels to monitor and influence laws and regulations that impact individuals with disabilities. They meet with local legislators, issue action alerts, and actively advocate for the rights and needs of individuals with intellectual, developmental, and other disabilities in their local communities, throughout the state, and the nation.
