The Chapel Hill TEACCH®Center provides comprehensive services to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder. We offer diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning and implementation, education, consultation, employment services, training opportunities, and research. Founded by Dr. Eric Schopler in 1972, our model for Autism services has been replicated around the world. Our clinical services include initial referral and consultation, diagnostic evaluations, parent support groups, social play and recreation groups, individual counseling for higher-functioning clients, and employment services. We also provide training nationally and internationally and offer consultation for teachers, residential care providers, and other professionals. Our research activities include psychological, educational, and biomedical studies. With our unique demonstration programs, TEACCH® is dedicated to meeting the clinical, training, and research needs of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, their families, and professionals across the state of North Carolina.
