About
ACT Wellness Institute is a multi-state trauma-focused group practice and training institute serving Black, Indigenous, and other people of color, with specialized support for helping professionals, social workers, educators, and veterans. Led by Taneasha Clark, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and veteran, the practice provides culturally grounded, evidence-based therapy to help individuals heal trauma, recover from burnout, and move from survival mode to sustainable wellness. With a focus on long-term healing, not quick fixes, ACT Wellness Institute creates a safe and welcoming space for healing, growth, and self-discovery. The practice is expanding its services to the Raleigh/Durham region in Summer 2026, while continuing to serve Maryland and Mississippi. Their mission is to empower wellness through action and connection, and to dismantle barriers to mental health care, cultivating a community where wellness is a shared reality for all.
