Square and Compass Children's Clinic is a non-profit organization that provides comprehensive, multi-disciplinary medical care for children with complex medical conditions and their families in Southern Arizona. Founded in 1947 as a pediatric polio clinic, the clinic has evolved to serve disabled and chronically ill children through the State of Arizona Crippled Children's Services. In 1991, the Children's Clinics were formed as a non-profit corporation by the Tucson Medical Center and the University Medical Center, with Square and Compass owning the building that houses the clinics. The organization is operated by a voluntary Board of Directors and spends thousands of dollars annually on medical services, hospitalization, supplies, and equipment for children who do not have other resources to provide the services.
