Special Olympics Michigan- Area 8 is a nonprofit organization that provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Our athletes develop physical fitness, courage, and joy as they share their gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other athletes, and the community. With the help of dedicated volunteers, coaches, family members, and staff, our athletes are able to achieve their dreams. We are funded by donations from Michigan citizens and businesses and are proud to serve our community.
