Special Olympics Michigan- Area 18 provides year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Our athletes develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, and experience joy while participating in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. With the help of generous donations from Michigan citizens and businesses, our athletes are able to achieve their dreams with the support of dedicated volunteers, coaches, family members, and staff.
