Special Olympics Michigan- Area 17 is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Our athletes develop physical fitness, courage and joy through participating in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendship among their families, Special Olympics athletes and the community. We are fueled by our athletes’ passion and dreams, and are proud to have the support of caring volunteers, coaches, family members and staff.
