At Special Olympics Kentucky – Madison/8 | Richmond, we are dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual disabilities to achieve their greatest potential through the power of sport. Our mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Our athletes are given the opportunity to build physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and share their gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, fellow Special Olympics athletes, and the community. We strive to create an environment of inclusion and acceptance, where everyone can come together to participate and celebrate the accomplishments of our athletes.
