Special Olympics Illinois (SOILL) reaches across all 102 counties of the state, providing a range of sports and activities to athletes of all ages. SOILL is organized into 11 geographical Regions, each with its own team to implement programming in the local area. At the Region Qualifier, athletes compete and those earning a gold medal can go on to the State Championships. Every Region has a Region Director that oversees all programming, and additional team members are responsible for sports programming, fundraising, outreach, communication, and education initiatives. SOILL provides an inclusive environment for all athletes to thrive.
