Special Olympics Illinois (SOILL) is a nonprofit organization that provides programs in all 102 counties of the state. The organization is divided into 11 geographic Regions, each with its own team to implement SOILL programming. Athletes compete at their Region Qualifier, and those earning a gold medal may advance to the State Championships. The SOILL Region Team consists of individuals charged with sports programming, fundraising campaigns, outreach, communication, and education initiatives. The Region Director oversees all aspects of regional programming. Special Olympics Illinois – Chicago Regional Office is committed to providing athletes with opportunities to grow and develop in sport, friendship, and leadership through its programs.
