Special Children's Art Foundation

The Special Children’s Art Foundation (SCAF) believes in fostering hope, self-esteem, and community integration by providing opportunities for children with special needs, their families, and mainstream community members to engage in socially inclusive mural art projects. SCAF’s projects incorporate designs simple enough to be painted by children of various skill and disability levels and are supervised to ensure the finished look of professional murals. Through these collaborative art projects, children with special needs and mainstream youth can gain a better understanding of one another while also leaving a lasting impression on the therapeutic and educational facilities chosen as mural sites.
