At the Southeastern Minnesota Center for Independent Living (SEMCIL), we are dedicated to helping people with disabilities lead independent and productive lives. We provide support, resources and advocacy to maximize our clients’ independence and quality of life. Our experienced staff consists of people with disabilities, family members, and other professionals. Our services range from independent living skills training to peer counseling, from information and referral to advocacy and more. SEMCIL also provides individual and systems advocacy to ensure that individuals with disabilities are fully included and participate in all aspects of community life. Our mission is to support and empower individuals with disabilities to live, work and participate in the community of their choice.
