She specializes in working with individuals and couples experiencing infertility and loss, including those who are grieving a miscarriage, perinatal, or neonatal loss. Sonali also provides counseling and psychotherapy for adolescents, adults, and adults/couples experiencing anxiety, depression, and other life changes. Her therapeutic approach primarily utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, an active and collaborative form of therapy that emphasizes the important role of thinking in how we feel and what we do. Sonali is committed to working with clients from diverse backgrounds and has received additional training in supporting clients dealing with infertility and perinatal mood and anxiety disorders. She holds certifications in trial-based cognitive therapy and diversity and cross-cultural awareness in epilepsy. Sonali is an adjunct faculty member at several universities and is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and the International Association for Cognitive Psychotherapy. She is available for free initial telephone consultations to determine if psychotherapy is right for each individual.
