About
He is the founder of Parent Arizona and Counseling Services, which provides quality therapy and parenting classes to help improve relationships in families. Shiloh's unique personality helps him build relationships with children and teens easily and quickly, and he gets beyond the resistance that some kids have toward counseling. Shiloh teaches parents how to understand the complicated emotions that children have and what parents can do to help their children with their emotions and improve behaviors. When working with couples, Shiloh helps couples repair and strengthen their relationship through learning how to resolve conflicts and nurture their marriage. Shiloh uses a logical approach to therapy, which includes three stages: 1. Raising self-awareness and insight as to how one's experiences and beliefs affect one's behaviors and interactions with others. 2. Education and skill building in order to learn how to overcome self-defeating behaviors and break unhealthy cycles of interactions. 3. Practicing the learned skills with supportive coaching in order to create healthier ways of problem solving or to process traumatic events that lead to the undesired behaviors. Shiloh works with individuals, couples, children, and families, and his areas of specialty include ADD/ADHD, addiction, adolescent issues, adult anxiety, anger management, attachment, child-parent psychotherapy, children (ages Birth – 6), children (ages 7-12), childhood anxiety, EMDR, parenting, parent-child relationships, school success, substance abuse, and trauma. He offers in-office and in-home therapy sessions, and his rates for therapy services are $160 for a 50-minute in-office session and $200 for a 70-minute in-home session. Shiloh does not accept insurance, and he prefers to meet with parents (without the child) for the first session to gather information about the parents' concerns. He usually sets up an in-home session for the second session to meet the child in their own home environment. Shiloh has been hired throughout Arizona to teach parenting seminars and classes in schools and to special groups, and he can be hired to do presentations on parenting using the Love and Logic approach for companies or groups. Shiloh's office is located at 3048 E. Baseline Rd, Suite 108, Mesa, AZ 85204, and he provides in-home child and family counseling to individuals who live in the East Valley of Arizona, including Gilbert, Queen Creek, Apache Junction, San Tan Valley, Johnson Ranch, Mesa, Tempe, Chandler, Ahwatukee, Phoenix, and Scottsdale.
