Services To Enhance Potential (STEP) is a nonprofit organization which provides support and services to nearly 1,300 persons with disabilities and other mental health needs in Wayne County. The practice has been helping employers find qualified, dependable employees for more than 45 years and is dedicated to helping employers find qualified applicants for their job openings. STEP provides a full array of supports coordination services and the delivery of person-centered planning for persons with a wide array of disabilities in varied work and residential situations. They offer services to persons living in Wayne County through funding with DWIHN and Community Living Services. STEP has multiple locations, including Dearborn, Detroit, and Southgate, and provides various services such as Supported Employment, Transition Services, and Engagement in the Community. They also offer culinary arts classes and have a Progressive Art Studio Collective.
