Second Chance And Reentry Services (SCARS)

Second Chance And Reentry Services (SCARS) is a charitable organization in the State of Oklahoma that provides court-ordered assessments, educational classes, individual and family therapy, and clinical treatment programs to offenders and victims who suffer from the effects of trauma, substance abuse, mental illness, or criminal behavior. They offer services to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families, employing Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC), Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors (LADC), Licensed Marriage & Family Therapists (LMFT), and Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW). SCARS' purposeful acronym brings attention to the physical and emotional scars endured by each adult and child who suffer from the effects of trauma, family dysfunction, substance abuse, or other behavioral health conditions. The organization has two locations in Oklahoma, in El Reno and Mustang, and has been providing services since 2012. Their vision is to increase the safety of Oklahoma residents by providing relevant, forward-thinking, and effective treatment programs that enhance interpersonal relationships and one's quality of life, extinguish violent and addiction-driven crime, and reintegrate incarcerated, isolated, and stigmatized individuals back into their families and communities.
