They provide support and services to persons with developmental disabilities, including intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, or other disabling conditions similar to intellectual disabilities, living in San Diego and Imperial counties. The San Diego Regional Center serves over 48,000 individuals and their families in San Diego and Imperial counties with a staff of 1,000 and a combined budget of $1.2 billion annually. They offer a variety of services to persons with developmental disabilities and their families, based on the client's individual needs, to maximize their independence, full potential, and quality of life. Any San Diego or Imperial County resident believed to have a developmental disability may apply for services.
