At Rush University Medical Center’s Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Outpatient Program, our clinical team provides comprehensive evaluations and treatment that help youth and families address and overcome emotional and behavioral problems. Under the direction of Section Chief Louis Kraus, MD, our team of psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, and other specialists provide traditional and innovative treatments for children and adolescents. Our evidence-based services include psychiatric evaluations and treatment for mood and behavioral disorders, comprehensive assessments and treatment services at our TIPS Clinic for children 6 and under, psychopharmacotherapy, cognitive-behavioral treatment, family therapy, parent training, behavioral therapy, group therapy, and research opportunities for children with autism spectrum disorders. Combined therapy and medication treatments are also available. Our expertise and early intervention can prevent more serious problems later in life.
