Riverside Resources, Inc., established in 1967 as Handicapped Education and Living Programs, Inc. (HELP), is a Leavenworth County-based organization that provides community-based services and supports for individuals with disabilities. Founded by a small group of parents, the organization began with a part-time work services program in 1971, which expanded into a full-time program the following year. In 1974, Riverside Resources, Inc. acquired its first group home, and began providing residential services. Supported living services were added in 1976, and the organization continues to develop and grow, providing person-centered services and supports to individuals in need.
