About
Sioux Falls Wellness Counseling, led by Rita Hansen, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over a decade of experience, strives to provide a unique and high-quality counseling experience. Rita's approach is grounded in the conviction that people are capable of change and that a good therapeutic relationship can make that change possible. She uses a variety of techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), to help clients overcome challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD. With a focus on empowering individuals to achieve their goals, Rita works with clients to identify and shift thought patterns and behaviors that keep them stuck. She is available for in-person sessions at her office in Sioux Falls, as well as telehealth appointments for South Dakota residents. Rita is in-network with most major insurance plans, including Aetna, BlueCross BlueShield, Cigna, Medicaid, Medicare, Sanford, United, and Wellmark, and also accepts EAP referrals.
