The Rhode Island Department of Human Services’ Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Program is a public state and federally funded program dedicated to helping individuals with disabilities become employed. The Office of Rehabilitation Services’ goal is to assist persons with disabilities to become employed, live independently in the community, and benefit from services such as counseling and guidance, transition services, rehabilitation technology, assistive technology, diagnostic evaluations, job training and job supports, job development and placement services, vehicle and housing modifications, and post-employment services. Our program partners with the State Rehabilitation Council, RI Council on Assistive Technology, Governors Advisory Council for the Blind Visually Impaired, netWORKri, State Independent Living Council, our customers, staff and community to ensure our customers are enabled to reach their career goals.
