Positive Directions—Center for Prevention & Counseling is a non-profit behavioral health organization providing prevention, counseling, medication management, and support groups to adolescents and adults struggling with mental health or substance use disorders. Located in Westport, CT, they serve individuals and families in the mid-Fairfield County area. Their staff is comprised of talented, warm, and caring professionals who provide a continuum of services to foster mental wellbeing and prevent risky behaviors. They believe in removing financial barriers and providing supports beyond clinical treatment to ensure individuals can lead healthy, successful lives in supportive communities. Positive Directions offers outpatient treatment, peer and recovery support, and community prevention initiatives, including free online support groups and training workshops. They accept various insurance plans and never turn anyone away for inability to pay.
