With a strong background in counseling and therapy, Petra has over 10 years of experience working with diverse populations, including immigrant children and adolescents. Her professional training includes a master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the Interamerican University, Puerto Rico, specialized in Family therapy, and a second master’s degree in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Freiburg in Germany. Petra’s approach to therapy is integrative and person-centered, using evidence-based techniques from CBT, Mindfulness, Ecopsychology, and Humanistic Psychology. She creates a safe space for each individual, honoring their autonomy and uniqueness. Petra is also a licensed psychologist in Puerto Rico, a Licensed Psychological Associate in Texas, and a Clinical Hypnotherapist and certified Yoga Teacher.
