Founded in 1994, the organization has several offices located throughout New York State, staffed by Regional Coordinators who are parents or close relatives of individuals with special needs. Parent to Parent of NYS offers various services, including parent support, information and referral, and training. The organization's mission is to build a supportive network of families to reduce isolation and empower those who care for people with developmental disabilities or special healthcare needs to navigate and influence service systems and make informed decisions.
