We were established in 1994 under state law and serve six southeastern counties: Burke, Emanuel, Glascock, Jefferson, Jenkins, and Screven. Our service area is 3207 square miles and is sparsely populated with an average of 26 people per square mile. We are the last area in the state to receive community mental health services, officially established in 1976.
