Northern Lakes Community Mental Health Authority serves adults with serious mental illness, persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities, children with serious emotional disturbance, and persons with co-occurring substance use disorders in six counties: Crawford, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Missaukee, Roscommon, and Wexford. They offer a range of services, including crisis services, intellectual and developmental disabilities support, mental illness treatment, and substance use services. Their mission is to improve the overall health, wellness, and quality of life of their individuals, families, and communities. Northern Lakes Community Mental Health Authority is part of the Northern Michigan Regional Entity, one of ten Prepaid Inpatient Health Plans (PIHPs) in the state of Michigan which manage behavioral health services for people enrolled in Medicaid.
