New Horizon Counseling provides clinical intervention and guidance to people struggling with depression, anxiety, ADHD, grief/loss, self-esteem, communication issues between family members or partners, and offers parenting techniques for defiant and oppositional children. The practice serves individuals, ages 10 and up, and their families, including couples, who are in need of help addressing various emotional and behavioral challenges. They are located in the Kingsedge Business Plaza building, suite 114, at 834 King Highway in Kalamazoo.
Insurance & payment
New Horizon Counseling accepts various insurance plans, including Aetna, Blue Care Network, BlueCross and BlueShield, Cigna and Evernorth, Meridian, Meritain Health, Optum, Priority Health, and more. Please note that a diagnosed mental health condition is required to bill insurance.

Individuals, ages 10 and up, who are in need of help addressing depression, anxiety, ADHD, various levels of emotional dysregulation (e.g., anger outbursts), life coaching, and/or self-esteem struggles.
Family Counseling/Parenting
Families/parents who are struggling with regular arguments, fights, acts of aggression, defiance, opposition, lack of respect, and/or communication breakdowns.
Couples Counseling
Romantic partners who are having difficulties communicating effectively, regularly engaging in arguments, struggling to find common ground/compromise, and/or preparing for the commitment of marriage.
