At Montgomery County Department of Recreation, we strive to provide the highest quality programs, services, and facilities that promote an enriching and accessible experience for all ages, cultures, and abilities. We understand the importance of accommodating special needs, and as such, we offer a mainstream companion service to provide additional assistance and facilitate the inclusion of individuals with disabilities in our programs. Our companions are trained volunteers who will help ensure a successful program experience, without providing personal care. While placements for companions are limited, early notification is essential for us to guarantee the best possible experience.
