About
The Midland School is a NJDOE-approved, non-profit organization based in Central New Jersey that provides a lifelong continuum of services to children, teenagers, and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families. They offer highly individualized attention with programming that is flexible and adaptable, and have a dedicated, attentive, enthusiastic, and experienced faculty and staff. Midland focuses on meeting the academic, social, emotional, career, and life needs of the individuals in their care, and have a track record of helping their students and adults achieve positive outcomes. This can include reaching academic and social goals, transitioning to competitive employment in their own community upon graduation, or living independently in one of their supervised residential homes. The Midland School supports the families and friends of their students and adults, and fosters an engaged and welcoming community through the depth and breadth of their experienced staff. They were founded in 1960 and are a happy, nurturing, supportive, and safe place for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
