Megan’s specialty interests include: girls’ and women’s issues, gender issues, career development, anxiety, and relationship issues. She incorporates strengths-based positivity and empowerment into her practice. Megan utilizes treatment approaches that are evidence-based and uniquely tailored to each client. Megan completed her advanced education at The University of the Cumberlands where she earned a master’s of arts degree in clinical mental health counseling. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a concentration in child and adolescent development. Megan’s approach to counseling is grounded in a person-centered, strengths-based approach that is enriched by cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) techniques. She believes that people learn and grow best when they have a safe space to explore their unique strengths where they receive unconditional acceptance and empathy.
