Their mission is to ensure every child has an equitable opportunity to learn. They envision a Massachusetts where all children and youth, particularly those who face the greatest barriers, have an equitable opportunity to learn, to grow, and to thrive. MAC uses a racial equity lens to guide their work and ensure their advocacy has a racially equitable impact. They provide individual case advocacy, community support, and policy advocacy to achieve their mission. MAC has successfully advocated for 16 laws since 2002 and has helped over 2,000 families through their helpline. They also provide training to parents, medical professionals, educators, and legal advocates on relevant education laws and procedures.
