About
The practice believes that meaningful change happens in relationship and provides a space where clients feel understood, not judged. Their work is conversational, with licensed therapists listening carefully, asking thoughtful questions, and exploring the meaning behind clients' experiences. Together, they look for new perspectives to help clients understand themselves more deeply and find ways forward that feel possible and true to them. With a focus on relational, trauma-informed care, Takoma Therapy serves clients from across the wider DC and Maryland area, including nearby neighborhoods and cities. The practice's office is a calm, welcoming space where clients can step out of the noise of daily life and into something more intentional. In addition to in-person therapy, Takoma Therapy also offers telehealth sessions, making it easier for clients to access therapy close to home.
