About
She is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and licensed chemical dependency counselor (LCDC) with a Master's in Counseling from St. Edward's University and a BA in Philosophy from Pomona College. Libby has spent over a decade working across mental health settings, including residential substance abuse treatment, supportive housing, mobile crisis outreach, medication-assisted treatment, diagnostic evaluation, and domestic violence. She currently works at Live Oak Collective, specializing in therapy for autistic and AuDHD teens and adults with complex presentations. Libby offers reflections, insights from therapy work, and the occasional rabbit hole of weirdness on her Substack publication, LibbyIsComplex, where she honors the fact that brains and bodies are complicated. She explores mental health from the perspective of someone who knows what it's like to have a brain that's constantly feeling a lot and refusing to do what she asks it to, even if she asks VERY nicely. Libby's work focuses on neurodivergence, giftedness, and personal growth, and she is passionate about helping individuals develop a more compassionate and accepting relationship with themselves.
