She specializes in working with adolescents and adults, providing an integrative approach that incorporates modalities like Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Child-centered Activity Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. Laura's practice is affirming of all parts of a person's identity, operating from a trauma- and neurodiversity-informed lens. She creates a safe and welcoming space for clients, particularly those from the LGBTQ+, BIPOC, and neurodiverse communities. Laura's experience and training enable her to work with clients on a wide range of issues, including ADHD, anxiety, coping skills, depression, and domestic abuse. She is supervised by Chelsea Yurkovich PhD, LPC-S, RPT-S and Heather Bedinger M.Ed., LPC-S. Laura is passionate about helping clients navigate their way through challenging experiences and find hope and healing. She believes in creating a space where clients feel safe to explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, and she works collaboratively with each client to develop a personalized treatment plan. Laura's approach is intentional and client-centered, acknowledging that everyone processes, thinks, heals, or grows differently. She is committed to providing a warm and genuine relationship that fosters growth and healing. Laura was born and raised in West Texas but currently resides in Roanoke, TX, where she enjoys spending time with her husband and three fur-children. She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Angelo State University. Laura is interested in working with clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences, and she is committed to providing a safe and affirming space for all clients.
