About
Founded in San Francisco, CA in 2005 by Melissa Willa and Colin Davitian, Kyo was initially known as Gateway Learning Group. As a BCBA and former special education teacher, Melissa was inspired to start her own company, providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy services to children with autism and developmental disabilities. Kyo's services are designed to be personalized to each child's strengths, goals, and what matters most to their family. Their approach focuses on progress families can feel and see, often achieving this in fewer therapy hours per week, so that the child can participate in other services and activities. Kyo offers in-home and school-based therapy services, and their team partners closely with families and their Care app simplifies scheduling, progress tracking, and communication. With locations in multiple states, including California, Kyo is expanding its list of in-network insurance providers daily, making it easier for families to access high-quality ABA therapy services.
