Kirsten Laura Sowell

Founded by Kirsten Sowell, LCSW, the practice provides in-person and telehealth appointments. Kirsten, a proud native of Arkansas, earned her Master's Degree in Social Work from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville in 2008, with a concentration in mental health and LGBTQ studies. She has over 16 years of post-graduate experience as a mental health professional and has worked in various settings, including schools, outpatient clinics, and hospitals. Kirsten specializes in working with transgender and non-binary youth and their families, as well as adults, and has a particular focus on teenagers and their families. The clinic's services include anxiety, depression, trauma, transgender issues, grief, and kink/diverse sexualities, utilizing approaches such as behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), eye movement desensitization & reprocessing therapy (EMDR), and acceptance and commitment (ACT) therapy.
