Kindering is a Renton-based early intervention center that has been providing services to children with special needs and at-risk children since 1962. Founded by five Bellevue-area mothers of children with disabilities, we are the largest and most comprehensive intervention center in Washington State, and one of the three largest in the nation. Our services include physical occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, feeding therapy, special education, and other early intervention programming designed to help children reach developmental milestones. In addition, we provide comprehensive programs such as support groups, parent education, and a sense of community for families of children with special needs. Our mission is to provide superior, individualized, family-centered services for children who are disabled, medically fragile, or vulnerable due to abuse or neglect, aiming to help them reach their maximum potential and build a sense of hope and understanding in the community. In the last five years, our enrollment has more than doubled, and the need for our services continues to grow. We need your help to ensure that the children and families who come to us for help get the important special education and therapies they need.
