She received her PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience in 2012 and a Master's in Counseling in 2015. With a background in Behavioral Neuroscience and Counseling, Dr. Avsar offers expertise in addressing psychosis, anxiety, and emotional disturbance. She believes that life is a meandering adventure with many twists and turns, and that recognizing one's doubts and fears is the first step in living more fully. Dr. Avsar's approach is rooted in her training as a Jungian Analyst, and she teaches in the New Orleans Jungian Seminar. She is a member of the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts (IRSJA).
