About
With a background in Sociology and a Master of Social Work degree from New York University, Ivy has extensive experience working with women and gender-expansive adolescents and adults navigating a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, self-injurious behaviors, eating disorders, co-occurring disorders, relationship issues, survivors of intimate partner violence, complex trauma, and LGBTQIA+ issues. Ivy's approach is personable and affirming, informed by a holistic approach to care that aids in the promotion of wholeness and healing in the mind and body. She creates an empowering environment, integrating the humor, honesty, and critical consciousness that is so integral to her personality inside and outside of the therapy room. Ivy is formally trained in the use of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to manage some of those tougher challenges like self-injury, severe anxiety, and complex trauma through the use of emotional regulation skills, mindfulness practices, and with the goal of increasing self-awareness and control over emotional and behavioral concerns. Ivy is currently enrolled at the William Alanson White Institute of New York, deepening her knowledge of Child and Adolescent treatment through their 2025 clinical training program.
